Written for the happily married, the struggling, and those contemplating diving in the pool.Timhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06728371020675954315noreply@blogger.comBlogger11100tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4592763861355028912.post-74781917994343545972008-08-14T14:32:00.002-04:002008-08-14T14:58:49.252-04:00Welcome to the new <span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: bold;">Marriage Blog</span>.  That's pretty general, I know.  You may be wondering am I pro-marriage, anti-marriage, giving marriage advice, wanting to get married, or simply selling my wedding expertise like Franc in the <span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: italic;">Father of the Bride </span>movies?<div><br /></div><div>Well, let's see.<br /><div><br /></div><div>Let me first of all say that I have been happily married to the same wonderful woman for over 20 years, so the "wanting to get married" part is out -- I mean <span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: italic;">way</span> out.  From that perspective, you may guess that I am pro-marriage, meaning I think it's a good thing.  However, having worked as a professional in the field of marriage education and therapy for most of my professional life, I very much understand the stresses, strains, and struggles that marriage brings (and, yes, I also know those lessons from my own marriage as well).  Furthermore, I understand why people get married, why people get divorced, and why many choose to live together, seeking to "test" the former while hoping to "avoid" later.   Marriage can certainly be the best of times and the worst of times.</div><div><br /></div><div>So where does that leave this blog?  In short, my hope is that this is simply a place to engage the conversation on marriage.   Regardless of where you may be on the relationship spectrum or in your belief about marriage, my goal is that this blog can be a place where you can find candid, honest answers to very real questions about marriage.  </div><div><br /></div><div>So, join the conversation.  Ask questions.  Share your opinions.  I may not be looking to get married, but I am definitely interested in your thoughts on the subject.</div><div><br /></div><div>All the best,</div><div><br /></div><div>Tim</div></div><div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/4592763861355028912-7478191799434354597?l=marriageramblings.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>Timhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06728371020675954315noreply@blogger.com0
